Here at Swanwick, we regularly have our Focus (Previously Day) and Sleep (Previously Night) Swannies lens transmission independently lab tested by Colts Laboratories. We believe in transparency when it comes to the science behind our Swannies Blue Light Blocking Glasses. That is why, when choosing where to purchase blue light blocking glasses, we recommend you check whether transmission reports from an independent testing facility are available. You can access our full reports below:

Focus Day (Almost Clear Lenses)
Designed for daytime screen use, Focus Day lenses reduce high energy blue light while maintaining clear, natural vision.
They block up to 98% at 400nm, gradually reducing filtration through the 450 to 500nm range to allow sufficient visible light for daytime alertness and productivity. These lenses are balanced to support visual comfort during work, studying, and extended screen use without overly darkening vision.
Best for daytime, office environments, and bright indoor settings.
Relax (Yellow Lenses)
Relax lenses are designed for the transition from day to evening.
They significantly reduce blue light in the 400 to 450nm range while maintaining high visible light transmission, with approximately mid 70% light transmittance. They also block UV below 380nm.
Relax lenses soften visual input for late afternoon and evening use, helping reduce visual strain without signaling full nighttime mode.
Best for winding down, casual screen use, and indoor lighting after work.
Sleep (Amber Lenses)
Sleep lenses are designed for nighttime use and pre bed routines.
They block approximately 99 to 100% of blue light between 400 and 500nm and significantly reduce wavelengths associated with melatonin suppression. They also reduce a large portion of green light within the 400 to 550nm range.
These lenses provide the strongest reduction in evening light exposure and are best worn 1 to 2 hours before bedtime or during nighttime screen use.
Together, Focus, Relax, and Sleep lenses create a structured light management system that supports productivity during the day, decompression in the evening, and reduced light exposure before sleep.
